Cream of Citra – New England IPA (NEIPA)

Cream of Citra Basqueland Brewing (San Sebastian- Spain) Ma che cos è questa birra?!? IPA? APA? NEIPA? Di difficile collocazione!
La vediamo leggermente opalescente e siamo subito invasi da agrumi quali lime, arancia, pompelmo e frutti tropicali (mango su tutti).
Subito al gusto così fruttata, scorre setosa per l’entrata in scena di fiocchi d’avena e grano.
Atto finale: il pungente Citra (spinto in dry hopping) è bilanciato dal lattosio, donando così rotondità.

Cream of Citra Basqueland Brewing (San Sebastian- Spain) what is this beer?!? IPA? APA? NEIPA? Difficult to place! We see it slightly opalescent and we are immediately invaded by citrus fruits such as lime, orange, grapefruit and tropical fruits (mango above all). Immediately fruity on the palate, it flows silky for the arrival of oatmeal and wheat. Final act: the pungent Citra (pushed in dry hopping) is balanced by lactose that gives roundness. According to the Basques: “Emprende lo reçonable” “Take (only) what is reasonable”.
