Azadì – American Pale Ale
La Freedom A.P.A. Azadì (4,8%) andrebbe bevuta ogni volta che se ne ha l’occasione. Sicuramente per il suo abbondante cappello di schiuma, per la buona carbonazione e la pungente luppolatura spiccatamente erbacea in linea con lo stile, per guardare il suo colore dorato e gustare un amaro ben bilanciato e accompagnato in bevuta da morbidezza e una leggera acidità data dal frumento, o ancora per scoprire che l’aroma particolare che la rende dissetante e fresca è quello dell’aneto selvatico del Rojava.
Ma quello che rende questa birra davvero speciale sono l’impegno e l’amore con cui è stata pensata e con cui viene prodotta e distribuita per sostenere il progetto della Staffetta sanitaria e di Mezza Luna Rossa Kurdistan Italia di costruire un ospedale in Rojava o altri progetti come la campagna di raccolta fondi per la Fondazione delle Donne Libere in Siria (Weqfa Jina Azad Suriye).
Alla nascita e alla diffusione della birra Libertà, è questo il significato del nome Azadì, hanno contribuito artisti (come il mitico (Z)ZeroCalcare che ha disegnato l’etichetta) e birrai (come il ALBA – southern brewing co. di Potenza che la produce) impegnati nella costruzione di un Kurdistan basato sui principi del confederalismo democratico contro l’espansione dell’ISIS in Medio-oriente.
Servono ancora buoni motivi per bere birra?
The Freedom A.P.A. Azadì (4.8%) should be drunk whenever you can. Certainly for its abundant foam hat, for the good carbonation and the pungent herbaceous hops in line with the style, to look at its golden color and taste a well balanced bitterness and a slight acidity given by wheat, or even to discover that the particular aroma that makes it thirst-quenching and fresh is that of the wild dill of Rojava.
But what makes this beer really special is the commitment and love with which it has been conceived and with which it is produced and distributed to support the project of the Health Relay and Half Moon Red Kurdistan Italy to build a hospital in Rojava or other projects such as the fundraising campaign for the Foundation of Free Women in Syria (Weqfa Jina Azad Suriye).
To the birth and diffusion of Freedom Beer, this is the meaning of the name Azadì, contributed artists (like Zerocalcare for the label) and brewers (like A.L.B.A. Azienda Lucana Birra Artigianale – Potenza for production) involved in the construction of democratic confederalism in Kurdistan against the expansion of ISIS in the Middle East.
