Bulla – English Pale Ale

Colore giallo dorato carico, un cappello di schiuma bianca presente e leggermente grossolana, al naso i sentori floreali (Goldings?), in bocca una leggera carbonazione e al palato un trionfo di malti, su tutti ovviamente il Pale. Insomma i ragazzi di ECB cercano di essere fedeli al massimo (riuscendoci) allo stile nato a metà 1600 che ebbe la sua diffusione attorno alla fine del 1700 grazie alla costruzione della linea ferroviaria tra Burton (terra di produzione del caratteristico malto) e Londra, che prima di allora consumava fondamentalmente solo Porter. Stile storico quanto misterioso nella sua definizione, differenza con le Bitter? A fine 1800 per gli inglesi erano sostanzialmente la stessa cosa differenziandole in maniera bizzarra: in fusti Bitter, in bottiglia Pale Ale. Detto questo DAJE ER GAS sempre e comunque!

Historical style as mysterious in its definition, difference with Bitter? at the end of the 1800s they were essentially the same for the British, differentiating them in a bizarre way: Bitter in barrels, Pale Ale in bottles.
