Zundert Trappist 8 – Tripel

Zundert Trappist 8 tripel di De Kievit 8%
Il birrificio dell’Abbazia Maria Toevlucht a Zundert sede di De Kievit (1897) si trova in Olanda al confine con il Belgio ed è tutt’oggi parte del consorzio trappista da circa 7 anni.
Alla vista di un colore arancio carico, un cappello di schiuma panna cremosa e grossolana non troppo persistente.
Al naso caramello, datteri, prugna disidratata, segue una parte agrumata ed una nota speziata.
Poca carbonazione ma sulla lingua si percepisce un lieve pizzicore più che altro dato dalla sezione speziata del lievito.
Un corpo pieno ci porta ad un finale amaro, si percepisce un buon calore alcolico.
Complessa ed equilibrata, una Tripel che sa tanto di Quadrupel non tanto per il grado alcolico (8%) quanto per colore e gamma olfattiva.

The brewery of the Maria Toevlucht Abbey in Zundert, home of De Kievit (1897) is located in the Netherlands on the border with Belgium and has been part of the Trappist consortium for about 7 years.
At the sight of a deep orange color, a cap of creamy and coarse creamy foam not too persistent.
On the nose caramel, dates, dehydrated plum, followed by a citrus part and a spicy note.
Little carbonation but on the tongue there is a slight tingling mainly given by the spicy section of the yeast.
A full body leads us to a bitter finish, a good alcoholic warmth is perceived. Complex and balanced, a Tripel that tastes so much of Quadrupel not so much for the alcohol content (8%) as for color and olfactory range.
