ILA – Scotch Ale

Appena un paio di settimane fa è salita sul terzo gradino del podio all’European Beer Star 2021 e nello stesso concorso del 2020 arrivò seconda. Un biglietto da visita non male per la ILA di Birra Perugia, la Scotch Ale del pluripremiato birrificio umbro!
Nata dalla collaborazione con Samaroli uno dei “uno dei più importanti selezionatori di distillati del mondo”, viene affinata in botti di whisky di alcune delle migliori distillerie di Scozia.
Una birra di spessore, di carattere con aromi caramellati e di futta secca e un gusto pieno maltato e un leggero amaro in retrogusto.
L’affinamento in botte aggiunge un leggero torbato che completa il bouquet gusto/olfattivo.
Il grado alcolico segna 8%

Just a couple of weeks ago it climbed to the third step of the podium at the European Beer Festival 2021 and in the same competition of 2020 it came second.
A not bad business card for the ILA of Birra Perugia, the Scotch Ale of the award-winning Umbrian brewery! Born from the collaboration with Samaroli one of the “one of the most important spirits selectors in the world”, it is aged in whiskey barrels of some of the best distilleries in Scotland.
A thick beer with character with caramel and dried fruit aromas and a full malty taste and a slight bitterness in the aftertaste.
The aging in cask adds a light peaty that completes the taste / olfactory bouquet.
The alcohol content marks 8%
