Whisking – Russian Imperial Stout

Whisking ovvero “la gemella separata alla nascita” de la Imperum di cui abbiamo parlato il 17 dicembre 2021.
Birra del Bosco ha prodotto queste due birre differenziandole per la maturazione in botte.
Nello specifico la Whisking è stata maturata per quattro mesi in botti di Scotch Whisky Laphroaig e il passaggio in botte dona in aroma il torbato del famoso distillato scozzese.
Di colore nero profondo e schiuma solo appena accennata, ha un corpo deciso, equilibrato e un etilico di tutto rispetto con i suoi 10,9 gradi.
In bocca ritroviamo i tratti tipici dello stile accompagnati dal retrogusto alcolico del whisky che però non è invadente.
Una birra, anche questa, come la gemella, da meditazione, da fine serata!

Birra del bosco has produced these two beers differentiating them for the aging in cask.
Specifically, the Whisking was aged for four months in Scotch Whiskey Laphroaig barrels and the passage in cask gives the aroma of the peaty of the famous Scottish distillate.
Deep black in color and only a hint of foam, it has a decisive, balanced body and a respectable ethyl at 10.9 degrees.
In the mouth we find the typical features of the style accompanied by the alcoholic aftertaste of the whiskey which, however, is not intrusive.
A beer, this too, like its twin, for meditation, for the end of the evening!
