Margherita – Weiss

L’Imperatore Federico II fu artefice ed esecutore della rinascita di Gualdo Tadino, città umbra in provincia di Perugia.
Dotò la città della cinta muraria difensiva, restaurò la Rocca e “seminò con le sue mani frumento, orzo, spelta, fave, miglio e altre essenze” ed è sicuramente anche grazie a lui che oggi possiamo bere la birra prodotto da Birra Flea birrificio che prende il nome propio dalla Rocca Flea uno degli esempi costruttivi meglio riusciti dell’architettura medievale.
Margherita è una delle birre che rendono onore e omaggio a questa storia: prende il nome dall’unica figlia legittima dell’imperatore.
Una birra in stile weiss prodotta con malto d’orzo e di frumento, di colore dorato chiaro dove, come stile predica, il luppolo non predomina nè in aroma nè in amaro.
Retrogusto caratterizzato da una leggerissima nota acidula che reclama un sorso dietro l’altro.
Il grado alcolico segna 5.2% e la rinomata acqua di Gualdo Tadino è alla base di tutta la produzione brassicola di Birra Flea.

The Emperor Frederick II was the artifice and executor of the rebirth of Gualdo Tadino, an Umbrian city in the province of Perugia.
He endowed the city with defensive walls, restored the fortress and “sowed with his hands wheat, barley, spelled, broad beans, millet and other essences” and it is certainly thanks to him that today we can drink the beer produced by Birra Flea brewery that takes its name from the Rocca Flea, one of the most successful construction examples of medieval architecture.
Margherita is one of the beers that pay homage to this history: it takes its name from the only legitimate daughter of the emperor.
A Weiss-style beer produced with barley and wheat malt, light golden in color where, as a preaching style, hops predominate neither in aroma nor in bitterness.
Aftertaste characterized by a very slight sour note that calls for one sip after another.
The alcohol content marks 5.2% and the renowned water of Gualdo Tadino is the basis of all the brewing production of Birra Flea.
